The Village That Could… And Did!!!

Summer is ending and school has started.  As the staff and I reflect on the success of our summer pilot workshops, we take this moment to thank everyone who supported us.  As a result of our community support and donations, GAD offered 5 FREE workshops in the month of July.

• The Importance of Fatherhood conducted by Dr. Terrance Sanders, A Father’s Legacy

• CPR/AED Training conducted by Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation

• Field Trip to Spotsylvania Fire, Rescue, & Emergency Management, Fire Station No. 5, A Shift

• Assisted in packing over 620 food boxes for residents with food insecurities at the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank and

• An impromptu workshop on writing your signature in cursive conducted by GAD’s staff/volunteers

We also send our thanks to:

• Hope Presbyterian Church, who graciously provided their facilities to host the workshops. Thanks Debbie Kindig, Pastor Jon, and congregation

• Victorious Believers Community Church, who allowed us to us their van to provide transportation

• Gift cards from local grocers (COSTCO, Giant Store #235, Weis Store #298, and Wegmans) and finally

• Financial donations from local resident and friends
